Washington Union High School, founded in 1892, is the oldest high school in Fresno County, California. The school district encompasses roughly 90-square miles in the heart of the central San Joaquin Valley. The student body is ethnically diverse.
Washington Union is a student-centered high school which promotes a safe and nurturing environment where students can learn and prepare for the future.
The 2009 Cinco de Mayo Celebration was a huge success. Many thanks to all of the volunteers that helped organize this yearly event and to staff members that attended and supported our students.
This event only happens because of volunteers and their donations. $1,300.00 was raised as a result of food sales and the sale of raffle tickets. (Vivian Jensen won the flat screen TV!)
All proceeds will be evenly distributed among this year’s migrant scholarship recipients: Alejandro Perez, Ana Lilia Alcaraz, and Heriberto (Eddie) De La Torre. Thank you for your continued support!
